TWO GENERATIONS. ONE PASSION.
Kim Phuong, master ice sculptor, has been creating ice art for over three decades. Kim started his illustrious ice career as a garde manger chef. He has carved over thousands of designs during his tenure in the hotel industry and eventually branched off on his own to pursue his passion for ice. His work has been featured in print, media, film, and the White House. Kim produces all the work for the eastern region of the United States through Ice Illusions Philadelphia.
David Fong is a second generation ice sculptor. He was exposed to the world of ice art at a young age. His unique style is a mesh of traditional techniques and modern technology. At the age of 13, David was carving his father’s designs with a chainsaw. At 16, he won his first ice sculpting competition. David’s work has been featured in numerous publications, art museums, and galleries throughout the United States. David continues to travel internationally to participate in ice sculpting competitions and demonstrations. His live demos are heavily requested as the tradition of carving ice by hand is becoming a lost art form. David produces all the work for the western region of the United States through Ice Illusions San Francisco-Bay Area.
